What is Ear Candling?
Ear Candling is an ancient technique, traditionally practiced by Shaman Healers, to cleanse and balance the body, mind and spirit. A treatment with ear candles is a nurturing and soothing experience, which leaves the patient feeling uplifted and calm.
Learn the technique to support family, friends and clients by clearing the physical and intuitive bodies through the Hopi Indian tradition.
The Centre of Wellbeing offers individual sessions in Ear Candling and also we provide a course in learning how to do ear candling on family and friends and also to learn the history and symbolism of this ancient tradition. The course will cost $125.00 and it will take 2.00 – 2.30 hours. Bookings are required.

An ear candle is a hollow, straw-shaped piece of cotton soaked in beeswax, paraffin, or a mix of the two. Essential oils and herbs may be added for aromatics. The candle is about 10 inches long. When lit this creates a chimney effect and a vacuum which then can draw material very gentle from the ear.
Ear candling is usually done by an herbalist, massage therapist, or a beauty salon specialist. You should never try it on yourself, even if you know how to use an ear candle. This will only increase your risk of injury.
An ear candle practitioner might also place a towel on your head and neck for more comfort.
